Where did Islam Originate (Part-2)
After believing in one true God, there are some other things are left behind which are connected to this belief. The deviant groups in the name of Islam has propagated by a twisted believe of Allah. Here I will list down those connected things that are ought to be believed alongside.
No Image/No Shape
It is widely regarded by every prophet and his disciples that the main theme of propagation of oneness was to serve Allah who has no image/no shap; His creation can make of or think of. Because He is incomparable in attributes and above human imagination limit. We can only think to the extent He abled us through different scriptures in different times and by the last and final Book Holy Quran. As Allah said,
وَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ لَهُمۡ نَصۡرࣰا وَلَاۤ أَنفُسَهُمۡ یَنصُرُونَ ١٩٢
وَإِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ لَا یَتَّبِعُوكُمۡۚ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَدَعَوۡتُمُوهُمۡ أَمۡ أَنتُمۡ صَـٰمِتُونَ ١٩٣
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ عِبَادٌ أَمۡثَالُكُمۡۖ فَٱدۡعُوهُمۡ فَلۡیَسۡتَجِیبُوا۟ لَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ١٩٤
أَلَهُمۡ أَرۡجُلࣱ یَمۡشُونَ بِهَاۤۖ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ أَیۡدࣲ یَبۡطِشُونَ بِهَاۤۖ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ أَعۡیُنࣱ یُبۡصِرُونَ بِهَاۤۖ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ ءَاذَانࣱ یَسۡمَعُونَ بِهَاۗ قُلِ ٱدۡعُوا۟ شُرَكَاۤءَكُمۡ ثُمَّ كِیدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ ١٩٥
إِنَّ وَلِـِّۧیَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی نَزَّلَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَۖ وَهُوَ یَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ١٩٦
وَٱلَّذِینَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ نَصۡرَكُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَنفُسَهُمۡ یَنصُرُونَ ١٩٧
وَإِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ لَا یَسۡمَعُوا۟ۖ وَتَرَىٰهُمۡ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَیۡكَ وَهُمۡ لَا یُبۡصِرُونَ ١٩٨
191. Do they associate ˹with Allah˺ those ˹idols˺ which cannot create anything, but are in fact created;
192. which cannot help them, or even help themselves?
193. And if you ˹idolaters˺ call upon them for guidance, they cannot respond to you. It is all the same whether you call them or remain silent.
194. Those ˹idols˺ you invoke leaving Allah are created beings like yourselves. So call upon them and see if they will answer you, if your claims are true!
195. Do they have feet to walk with? Or hands to hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Call upon your associate-gods and conspire against me without delay!
196. “Indeed, my Protector is Allah Who has revealed this Book. For He ˹alone˺ protects the righteous.
197. But those ˹false gods˺ you call besides Him can neither help you nor even themselves.”
So it is clear from here that, Idols cannot be any mean to worship Allah. If someone wants to concentrate to spiritually connect with his/her creator, it must be done without idols according to Islamic theology.
Fulfiller of Needs and Requirements
There are groups who claim themselves to be Muslim but their actions towards Graves and Graveyards(Shrine) are similar to grave worshipping/associating. Typically they do it in intention of-
1. worshipping good spirits will please the Creator
2. serving/remembering good spirits will please the Creator
3. connecting with good spirits will connect them to the Creator
4. good spirits will advocate to the Creator for any needs and requirements if they serve/remember/worship graves.
There could be other similar intentions but nonetheless, all of them are wrong and is an act of associating someone with the Exalted One. Hence, these guys are out of the fold of Islam.
It is also connected to the believe of Allah that he is is the sole fulfiller of Needs and Requirements and All Listener and All Knowledgeable. As He said-
وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ ٱلۡمَیۡتَةُ أَحۡیَیۡنَـٰهَا وَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهَا حَبࣰّا فَمِنۡهُ یَأۡكُلُونَ ٣٣
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا جَنَّـٰتࣲ مِّن نَّخِیلࣲ وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣲ وَفَجَّرۡنَا فِیهَا مِنَ ٱلۡعُیُونِ ٣٤
لِیَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتۡهُ أَیۡدِیهِمۡۚ أَفَلَا یَشۡكُرُونَ ٣٥
Meaning-
33. There is a sign for them in the dead earth: We give it life, producing grain from it for them to eat.
34. And We have placed in it gardens of palm trees and grapes, and caused springs to burst forth in it,
35. so that they may eat from its fruit, which they had no hand in making. Will they not then be grateful?
He Further said-
وَأۡمُرۡ أَهۡلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ عَلَیۡهَاۖ لَا نَسۡـَٔلُكَ رِزۡقࣰاۖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُكَۗ وَٱلۡعَـٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ (Ch 20 Verse 132)
Meaning-
Command your people to pray, and be diligent in ˹observing˺ it. We do not ask you to provide. It is We Who provide for you. And the ultimate outcome is ˹only˺ for ˹the people of˺ righteousness.
He again said-
وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَـٰلࣰا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ أَكۡنَـٰنࣰا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ سَرَ ٰبِیلَ تَقِیكُمُ ٱلۡحَرَّ وَسَرَ ٰبِیلَ تَقِیكُم بَأۡسَكُمۡۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ یُتِمُّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَیۡكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُسۡلِمُونَ (Ch 16 Verse 81)
Meaning-
And Allah has provided you shade out of what He created, and has given you shelter in the mountains. He has also provided you with clothes protecting you from the heat ˹and cold˺, and armour shielding you in battle. This is how He perfects His favour upon you, so perhaps you will ˹fully˺ submit ˹to Him˺.
He releaved the verses from the conversation of Abraham (Peace be upon him) and Namrud- (Ch 26 Verse 78–81)
ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَنِی فَهُوَ یَهۡدِینِ ٧٨
وَٱلَّذِی هُوَ یُطۡعِمُنِی وَیَسۡقِینِ ٧٩
وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ یَشۡفِینِ ٨٠
وَٱلَّذِی یُمِیتُنِی ثُمَّ یُحۡیِینِ ٨١
Meaning-
78. ˹He is˺ the One Who created me, and He ˹alone˺ guides me.
79. ˹He is˺ the One Who provides me with food and drink.
80. And He ˹alone˺ heals me when I am sick.
81. And He ˹is the One Who˺ will cause me to die, and then bring me back to life.
So it is completely clear that, Allah is the soul provision giver to creations. If someone needs, it is compulsory recommendation to ask to Allah directly in the way He described aka Salah (Praying).
The Debate of less provision and more provision
The question of giving less provision or more provision confuses a lot of people of faith. It is simply wisdom and desire of the almighty to provide and test people with provision. Allah answers that also in the Quran-
16. وَأَمَّاۤ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَیَقُولُ رَبِّیۤ أَهَـٰنَنِ
17. كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُونَ ٱلۡیَتِیمَ
18. وَلَا تَحَـٰۤضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِینِ
19. وَتَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكۡلࣰا لَّمࣰّا
20. وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡمَالَ حُبࣰّا جَمࣰّا
Meaning-
16. But when He tests them by limiting their provision, they protest, “My Lord has ˹undeservedly˺ humiliated me!”
17. Absolutely not! In fact, you are not ˹even˺ gracious to the orphan,
18. nor do you urge one another to feed the poor.
19. And you devour ˹others’˺ inheritance greedily,
20. and love wealth immensely.
He also gives whomever He wants, as He said,
ٱللَّهُ یَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن یَشَاۤءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ وَیَقۡدِرُ لَهُۥۤۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمࣱ (Ch 29 Verse 62)
Allah gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills of His servants. Surely Allah has ˹full˺ knowledge of everything.
Does Creator’s attributes have limits?
The Believe here is-
- His grace, blessing, supply or any attribute will not increase or decrease by giving to His creations. Grace, Mercy, Supply or any Attribute of Allah are limitless to the knowledge of only to the Creator Himself.
- If no one prays or asks to Allah or no one praises Him, His exalted existence won’t be questioned nor be downed nor lessen. It is the creation that needs to praise, pray, ask to Allah for their own benefit.
- If every creation prays, asks to Allah, praises Him, His exalted existence won’t be increased or highlighted more. His exalted existence and attributes are not dependent on any creations’ praise and prayers. Those are already His Own to limitless level only to the knowledge of the Creator Himself.
